On Monday, Hasin Jahan, who is the wife of India fast bowler Mohammed Shami has been reported to be arrested for purportedly trespassing into her in-law’s place at Amroha late on Sunday and getting involved in an argument with her mother-in-law. Shami’s mother has filed a complaint regarding the same and according to that officer of Didauli police station arrested Jahan around 12.15am. She was arrested on charges of trespassing as accused by Shami’s mother. She was kept at a hospital through the night and only received bail on Monday morning.
Talking about the charges, Shami’s wife said, “I was sleeping in my room at my in-law’s place when cops forced entry in my room and dragged me out. Jahan said she reached the in-law’s place around 7 pm in order to claim some of the important things she and Shami had bought together. She explained, “I had the keys and entered my room. My in-laws started shouting at me and even called the cops. I told them that this section of the house was built by Shami and as his legally wed wife I had the right to stay there. Then a little after midnight, cops banged at the door and entered my room and forcibly took me with them. When I tried to contact my lawyer, they snatched my phone.”
