Australia’s upcoming two-match Test series against Bangladesh, which is also a part of the ICC World Test Championship, has been postponed to June-July 2020, informed Bangladesh Cricket Board on Monday (September 23). The series which will be played in Bangladesh was initially planned to take place in February next year but later it is decided to move it to June-July after both BCB and Cricket Australia agreed on the plan.
“According to the FTP, we were supposed to host two Tests in February but now the Test series will be played in June-July 2020,” Akram Khan, the BCB cricket operations chairman said to the reporters.
Meanwhile, Akram also said that Australia were scheduled to tour to Bangladesh for a T20I series, which was supposed to be played in October this year. That will take place in 2021 ahead of the eighth edition of the T20 World Cup which will take place in India.
