Pakistan fast bowler, Mohammad Irfan, who is more than 7 feet tall has recently been ignored from the national squad. He had announced his arrival at the international stage with a bang with his pace that used to deceive the batsman but his line and length were the major issues with him. After playing a few series he was ruled out of the team because of being inconsistent.
Irfan played his last international match in 2016 against England. In 2012, the former Indian opener Gautam Gambhir was in his prime for Team India but there was Irfan whom Gambhir doesn’t like to face as the fast bowler had dismissed the Delhiite on four occasions during that limited-overs series (T20Is and ODIs).

Now, the lanky pacer has come down with some claims over Virat Kohli and Gambhir that has left everyone amazed. In a recent interview, Irfan expressed that the Indian batsmen were never comfortable in facing him as they were unable to read my pace and couldn’t sight my deliveries due to my height,
As per the quotes in India Today, Irfan said, “When I played against India, they were not comfortable batting against me. Some of them told me in the 2012 series in India that they couldn’t sight my ball properly because of my height and also didn’t read my pace. Gautam Gambhir was afraid of me. I think his career ended because of me. He didn’t return to the team after that series. He didn’t like to face me in a match or when both teams had nets, I always felt he avoided eye to eye contact with me.”

And Irfan also recalled an incident with Virat during the match in which the Indian skipper was not able to read his pace properly. The lanky pacer, “He told me he thought I would be around 130-135 kph but I had increased my pace and I was bowling around 145 kph and he had problems picking me up. Once when he was batting he tried to pull a good length ball and missed.”
Irfan has featured in 4 Tests, 60 ODIs and 20 T20Is and has bagged more than 100 international wickets for Pakistan across all the formats.
