Although India were asked to play day-night Test earlier as well when they had toured to Australia last year, they denied playing at that time. However, this time when Sourav Ganguly had pitched the idea of playing Test matches under the floodlights Virat Kohli, the Indian captain took no time to agree on that and after that the rest is history. The former Indian captain was thoroughly praised for making the historic pink-ball Test this successful.
