After a six-day long break, India-Australia again lock horns in Ranchi for the series opener of three-match T20 International series.

After losing the toss David Warner, in captain’ shoes, came striding out with Aron Finch, his partner in crime. Things were good for Australia till the fourth ball, as SRH captain smashed his teammate Bhuvi for consecutive boundaries. But, here came the twist in the tale with an inside edge castled Warner. Finch was in the mood to carry his good form and record against India in T20Is, but his stay was cut short by Kuldeep Yadav when he was looking dangerous at 42.

Rest of the batting fell like nine pins as India’s new strength stole the show in the middle overs. Yes, we are talking about the two talented wrist spinners, Kuldeep Yadav and Yuzvendra Chahal, who registered figures of 16/2 and 23/1 respectively in their allotted overs. Tim Paine tried to steady the ship but he too perished after a promising outing of 17 runs. Yeah, I am not joking, these 17 runs are the second highest score of Aussie innings.

Death specialist Bumrah was at his usual best against tale-enders at the death as he made a mess of their wickets. Meanwhile, he overtook Ashish Nehra as the second leading wicket-taker for India in T20Is. Latest news is Australia’s innings has come to an end with 8 balls short of 20 over. Indian innings will start after the rain.
