English all-rounder Ben Stokes has faced a lot of criticism and controversies in recent times and now he is going to get married to his fiancee Clare Ratcliffe this weekend on October 14.
Stokes is raring to take the big step of his life as the couple will tie the knot at the church of St Mary the Virgin, just across the road from Clare’s widowed mother, Jane, in East Brent, near Weston-super-Mare, in Somerset, at 12 noon this Saturday.
The reports suggest that the marriage reception will take place at the 16th-century Rookery Manor a four-star country house hotel and spa in nearby Edingworth which can include almost up to 400 guests. The marriage ceremony is being reported as ‘divine and spiritual’. Stokes has been in the relationship with Clare for past seven years.
Clare Ratcliffe, the fiancee of Ben Stokes, revealed the news of both getting married on Instagram, almost a month ago. Her post read: “’Four weeks today…I marry this man! The man wearing a Little Mermaid backpack!’” Finally, things are taking some joyful turn in Stokes’ life after being the news for all the wrong reasons in the last month.

However, the police investigation of the Bristol incident is still going on. ECB will also be taking some strict actions on the all-rounder as it is being speculated that the all-rounder might be out of the side for the whole winter. His name has also been withdrawn from the Ashes squad which will travel down under. Ashes is scheduled to begin on November 22 in Brisbane at Gabba.
