In recent times, there have been a plethora of comparisons been drawn between the two greats of modern-day cricket, Virat Kohli and Steve Smith. Fans and cricketing pundits all across the globe have had their views on the debate as these two have the tendency of outperforming themselves. Now, the ‘God of Cricket’, Sachin Tendulkar has had his say on the ever-going debate.
Considering the consistency across the formats, Kohli clearly comes out on top. He has been the best batsman across all formats now and has been extremely consistent with the bat. On top of that, he has been leading the Indian team with some panache in all the formats.
This goes on to show how Kohli’s batting has improved with the added responsibility on his shoulders. Master blaster Sachin Tendulkar has come up with an interesting response on the Kohli-Smith debate.

Sachin, who is presently in Australia for the Bushfire Cricket Bash, said, “Let’s not get into comparisons and let us enjoy what both those individuals are doing. They are entertaining the entire cricketing world and it’s a joy for us to watch.”
The legendary cricketer further added, “I don’t like getting into comparisons. People have tried comparing me to a number of guys and I’ve said, ‘Just leave us alone’.” Sachin seems to have finally given a great response to the ongoing debate. He is extremely justified to have mentioned that the greats should not be compared to each other.

Both, Virat and Smith have had amazing international careers. They have been at the top of the cricket world for a long time now and both of them are getting better with time. Virat, on the other hand, has been Mr.Consistent in world cricket and is the perfect modern-day cricketer.
