On the back of half-centuries from Sanath Jayasuriya, Mahela Jayawardene and Russell Arnold, Sri Lanka went on to score a healthy 281-9 in 50 overs. Nehra, who was the only Indian bowler to be amongst the wickets, registered figures of 10-1-59-6.

Sehwag, who has opened the innings with Sourav Ganguly, scored a blistering 48 (22) with the help of nine fours & a six.
