Pakistan Cricket Board (PCB) has a new tactic to poke Board of Control for Cricket in India (BCCI) as they revealed; Pakistan won’t play in any of ICC’s newly announced cricketing structure until BCCI honors MoU signed by both boards to play bilateral series.

Najam Sethi, PCB chairman, said: “PCB will only sign on the document for participating in the World Test and ODI leagues, if India fulfills its obligations to play bilateral cricket with Pakistan, outlined in the MoU signed between the two boards.”

He confirmed that Pakistan’s participation in those tournaments is questionable and they will sign the document only if India will play series against them.

After Auckland meeting last week, ICC announced the commencement of the Test Championship and One-Day International League after World Cup 2019. However, Sethi feels these leagues will be meaningless if both teams are not playing against each other.

“The documents signed by participating boards have to be handed over to the relevant committee in three or four month’s time. We will only sign if we get what we want. India fulfilling its obligations as per the MoU in 2014,” he concluded.

BCCI agreed to resume bilateral ties with Pakistan in 2014 when they signed MoU. Under which, both teams will play six series from 2015 to 2023 and the first leg will be hosted by Pakistan in 2015/16. However, BCCI denied playing this series after a regular border dispute with the neighbor nation.

The last time we witnessed Indo-Pak series, it was back in 2012/13 when India hosted them for three ODIs and two T20Is.
