The pandemic coronavirus has affected all sporting events across the globe which witnessed many as cancelled too. During this time, Fox Cricket thought to keep its fans engaged with some interesting things. On Monday, Fox Cricket decided to publish a list of all the stadiums around the world.
Fox Cricket prepared a list of top 10 all-time stadiums. However, this time Lord’s didn’t receive the award of the number one ranked stadium. In fact, it was Melbourne Cricket Ground (MCG) which earned the No.1 spot. The stadium is the second-largest cricket ground in the world, with the audience capacity of 1,00,024. Recently they hosted the ICC Women’s T20 World Cup final as well.

Indian cricket ground Eden Gardens in Kolkata placed at the second position. The stadium earlier held a crowd of more than 1 lakh people but after the renovation in 2011, it was reduced into the size. The number of seats available now is around 67,000, still considered as one of the biggest stadiums in India as well.
The Lord’s Cricket Ground placed at the third while the fourth-ranked was from South Africa. It was the stadium of Newlands in Cape Town. Another Australian stadium got the number five spot was the Adelaide Oval. While The London Oval stadium placed at sixth, it was Sydney Cricket Ground which placed at the seventh.
However, Former Australian batsman Mark Waugh didn’t like it and he tweeted, “SCG at No.7 is that for real.”

The Edgbaston cricket ground in Birmingham placed at eighth on the list and the ninth position was given to the Himachal Pradesh Cricket Association Stadium in Dharamshala as well. International Stadium of Galle in Sri Lanka placed at the last of the list. However, there were a few other stadiums too which included Wankhede Stadium in Mumbai, Kensington Oval in Barbados, Basin Reserve Cricket Ground in Wellington and lastly the Trent Bridge stadium in Nottingham.
