Former Mumbai Indians coach Mark Boucher has said that Rohit Sharma is looking in the zone and a big score is coming soon from him as well. However, Rohit has been going through a rough patch in his IPL 2025 campaign, but has shown some great shots in his last few outings. Rohit also hit 3 sixes and looked to be in fine touch against SRH.

Speaking to JioHotstar, Boucher said, “Rohit Sharma took it upon himself to go after the bowlers. We saw some good old-fashioned Rohit Sharma sixes – big ones too. I liked his attitude. He put the bowlers under pressure, created scoring opportunities. He was just past the 30-mark — a big score is coming very soon. He’s looking in that zone again.”
However, Rohit Sharma has scored 82 runs in 6 matches so far in IPL 2025. His highest score in the tournament so far came in the SRH game where he smashed 26. Rohit has an average of 13.67 but has a strike-rate of 143.85 as well.

Meanwhile, Michael Clarke also said that a big score isn’t far away for Rohit Sharma after the game against SRH.
“But seeing that tells me he knows he’s hitting the ball well, he’s not far away. He’s just got, he unfortunately, if he could just go steady and work his way into the innings, that would be best for Rohit Sharma, but that’s not best for the team. So he has to play like this because it’s best for the team and the team always comes first,” said Clarke.

However, Michael Clarke has slammed the Sunrisers Hyderabad middle-order batters for their continued failure and over reliance on openers Travis Head and Abhishek Sharma. He said after SRH faced a disappointing loss to Mumbai Indians at the Wankhede Stadium on April 18 in IPL 2025 as well. While Head and Abhishek gave SRH a quick start of 59-run opening stand, the middle order once again failed to step up.
Clarke, speaking on Star Sports after the match, said, “I think what we are seeing, and it has been consistent this season, is that when the SRH opening pair misses out, the middle order just has not been able to step up. It is about grabbing momentum, building partnerships, and carrying the innings forward, but they have not found a way to do that yet. You cannot expect your openers to deliver in every single game. Last year, they almost did, but this season it has been different. This has been a real opportunity for the middle order, and so far, they have not taken it. That is definitely an area SRH need to improve.”
