Yesterday, Sunrisers Hyderabad completed a clinical win while chasing against Delhi Daredevils at the Feroz Shah Kotla Stadium. While the captain Kane Williamson supported the chase from one side, the hero of that chase was Delhi’s own Shikhar Dhawan. In the post-match interview, Shikhar was introduced with the phrase that “Gabbar is back”. To which Shikhar replied,”The Gabbar was always here”.

Delhi batted first and thanks to the hurricane innings from Rishabh Pant, they piled up 187 runs. The chase was a tall one and SRH’s batting was considered to be a brittle one except for their top-three. Their top three made sure that their middle-order did not even have to bat. After early departure, Shikhar and Kane drove SRH home.

By the end, Hyderabad ended the chase with seven balls remaining. Shikhar Dhawan was not out 92 by the end in 50 balls with nine fours and four sixes. The innings was a stunning spectacle and it evoked responses from all quarters of India.

The world poured in congratulatory messages on Shikhar Dhawan after the innings on the image that he posted on Instagram. The caption of the photo read, “It was a good outing today with this guy @kane_s_w. Well played @rishabpant. It was a wonderful knock#orangearmy #enjoyed #anotherwin#ipl2018 #topofthetable”

One of the messages was from Ranveer Singh, who congratulated Dhawan on his triumph. He then replied in his own style and wrote,” thanks khilji sahab😜😜😜👍🏼👍🏼😀😀” referring to Ranveer Singh’s role of Allauddin Khilji in the recent movie ‘Padmavat’.
