The Indian fans have often been seen expressing their despair on social media after India’s shocking batting performance against Australia in the Pink-ball Test match in Adelaide on Saturday. The Indian team was bundled out a meager score of 36, their lowest-ever total in Test cricket, as Australia handed them an 8-wicket defeat in the series opener.

The fact that India failed to capitalize even after gaining a crucial first-innings lead of 53 runs, did not go well with the fans. Diving into the blame and troll game on social media, some of them even failed to figure out who are they accusing of India’s big failure. In one such incident, a fan surprisingly pointed at Wasim Jaffer, declaring him India’s batting coach and accusing him of just making memes.

One of the fans wrote: “When the batting coach is busy making memes, what can be expected from the batsmen”.

Notably, former Indian cricketer, Vikram Rathour is the batting coach of India’s senior men’s cricket team, while Wasim Jaffer coaches Uttarakhand and IPL team Kings XI Punjab (KXIP). Jaffer, who is known for playing enormous innings in domestic cricket, politely reminded the fans that he is not the batting coach of India.

From the time IPL 2020 started, the 42-year-old has emerged as a social media sensation in recent times. Very serious batsmen in his playing days, Jaffer very soon became a ‘social media sensation’ with his witty memes completely in sync with the situations.
