The Indian stalwart, Virat Kohli has been known for enjoying a humongous fan base in the country and his fans are always spotted everywhere following him. Ahead of the opening game of the three-match T20I series against Australia, the 33-year-old received a special gift from a fan at the IS Bindra Stadium in Mohali. In a video released by Punjab Cricket Association on Instagram, a female fan can be seen presenting a portrait of Kohli to the star batter himself.

Virat Kohli was also seen interacting with fans about the handmade painting and it certainly impressed a lot of people on social media. Meanwhile, Kohli recently ended his century drought in the Asia Cup 2022 with a magnificent knock against Afghanistan in the Super 4, and his form was one of the biggest positives for India.

The former Indian skipper has been in the spotlight for an extended rough patch of form over the last three years. However, he managed to shut his critics by bringing his maiden T20I century and finished as the second-highest run-scorer in the tournament with 276 runs in five innings.

Meanwhile, in the video, the Indian cricketers including Hardik Pandya, Deepak Hooda, and Bhuvneshwar Kumar were spotted entering the stadium to gear up for the practice session.

Rohit Sharma will have a big test coming up against a quality Australian side as the series is expected to be ideal preparation for the mega ICC event next month. The likes of Jasprit Bumrah and Harshal Patel have returned to the squad, while Umesh Yadav has replaced Mohammed Shami for the series after the latter tested positive for Covid-19.
