Currently, the Indian team is locking horns with England in the opening game of the five-match Test series which is up at Trent Bridge. Fans didn’t get surprised this time around when the Indian skipper Virat Kohli had his jinx with the toss once again and ended up losing it. Winning the toss, the English skipper, Joe Root decided to bat first. Though there were some surprising things in the game, one more thing from the fan section caught the attention of the viewers.

At first, one wouldn’t be attracted to the fact of one seat empty amid a group of four of five friends. However, there is an amazing story behind that seat being empty. At Trent Bridge, there was a section of four-five friends who were seen seating around an empty seat.

Later, one of the Twitter users added that a man named John Clarke hasn’t missed a game at the Trent Bridge in the last 40 years or so and now that he is no more, his friends buy an extra ticket to reserve a seat for their deceased friend.

Explaining the same, a Twitter user wrote: “Brilliant story about John Clarke, who hasn’t missed a game in 40 years in Trent Bridge. He has passed, but his friends have still bought his tickets and reserves a seat for him to watch. Lovely.”

As soon as the fans noticed the team combination of India came to the attention of the public, they started criticizing Kohli for not fielding ace spinner Ravichandran Ashwin on the field. It is a known fact that English conditions have often been seen supporting the fast bowlers and this is why the Indian team came up with their set of prime pacers. Mohammed Siraj got his chance in the team and Ravindra Jadeja was included in the playing XI owing to his all-around capabilities.
