Let us admit that the standard of fielding has not been the best in this season of the Indian Premier League. Fielders have dropped and fumbled the most easiest of chances both in terms of catching and leaking runs. But today was a different night. It certainly was!

Stuart Binny sent a Shardul Thakur delivery high into the night skies. Fielding at long-on, Stokes put a valiant effort to catch the ball which was perhaps going for a maximum. He let go of the ball on to the ground citing his balance which would have taken the ball to the other send of the boundary ropes. He might have not completed a catch but definitely saved five runs for his team.
