The Royal Challengers Bengaluru have made a strong statement early in IPL 2025. After beginning their campaign with impressive away wins over Kolkata Knight Riders and Chennai Super Kings, they suffered a hiccup at home, losing to Gujarat Titans by eight wickets. However, they quickly bounced back in style, edging out Mumbai Indians in a high-scoring thriller at the Wankhede Stadium with a 12-run victory.

With three wins from their first four games, RCB currently sit comfortably at the No. 3 position on the points table. All eyes are now on their upcoming clash against Delhi Capitals on April 10 at the M. Chinnaswamy Stadium, which promises to be a blockbuster.
Delhi, led by Axar Patel, have been the surprise package this season and are the only unbeaten team left in the competition. With both sides brimming with confidence, the Bengaluru crowd can expect a cracker of a contest. Adding to the build-up, former India opener and cricket analyst Aakash Chopra shared an emphatic prediction ahead of the fixture.

Speaking on Star Sports, Chopra said that if RCB manage to stop Delhi’s unbeaten run, they are almost guaranteed a spot in the IPL 2025 playoffs. “If they win today, I can give it to you in writing – RCB will 100% qualify for the playoffs,” said Chopra. “They’ve already won three matches on the road, and if they win this one at home, then they just need 4-5 home wins. With 16 points, you’re through. So this game is massive for them.”

Chopra also noted RCB’s growing maturity and their ability to win in challenging conditions away from home, a factor that has often eluded them in past seasons. “This side has already pulled off three away wins. Now they need to defend their fortress,” he added.
