Former India player turned commentator Aakash Chopra has said that Team India has lost series across formats lately. He also added that Team India have lost to every team, barring Afghanistan, since their T20 World Cup 2026 win. India faced a 2-1 defeat in the recently concluded ODI series against England as well.

In a video shared on his YouTube channel, ‘Aakash Chopra,’ he said, “We have lost another series. It is not a good story. It is actually a sad story because we lost the T20Is in Ireland, then we lost to England, and now we have lost the ODI series. We are not winning anything. We won a Test against Afghanistan and an ODI series against them. What else have we won apart from that?”

“We won the World Cup, but we lost the ODI series to New Zealand before that. We lost the Test series to South Africa before that. We are losing more and winning less. We got happy because we won the World Cup in between, but we are losing a lot apart from that. We shouldn’t acquire the habit of losing,” he shared again.

However, Aakash Chopra slammed India’s bowling department, especially at the death, in the third ODI against England.

“We conceded a lot of runs. They thrashed our bowling. They kept hitting from the start. They scored nearly 400 runs. However, interestingly, they had scored only 325 runs in 47 overs, but we conceded 62 runs in the last three overs, 23 runs each in two overs, and 16 runs in the 50th over bowled by Prince Yadav,” he said.

“Gurnoor almost completed his century. Only five bowlers were used. We don’t have a sixth bowler. That is the reality. What will we do if we don’t have a sixth bowler at all? I don’t mind the idea of playing with six batters, but the last three overs were so expensive, and they were also because they had a lot of wickets in hand,” Aakash Chopra concluded.
