Former India player turned commentator Aakash Chopra has said that Sanju Samson would be under pressure after failing in the first T20I against Afghanistan as well. He added that Vaibhav Suryavanshi, who fared well in the preceding series against Zimbabwe, is waiting on the sidelines as well. However, India restricted Afghanistan to 156/8 in Delhi on Sunday, September 13, where Samson managed only 10 runs off eight deliveries in the chase as well.

In a video shared on his YouTube channel, ‘Aakash Chopra,’ he said, “I was focusing on only one guy, and that was Sanju Samson, because, thus far, we have been saying that a slight injustice has been done to him. You win the World Cup, and then you are left out after performing badly in two matches. However, he got out again. He was batting decently, but was caught in the deep.”

However, Aakash Chopra applauded Abhishek Sharma for playing a belligerent knock during India’s chase as well.
