It was very painful for Finch as he immediately called for the doctor. Soon, he decided to walk off as he retired hurt at the moment and the tea of day three was called by the umpires immediately. At that time, Australia was batting on 33/0 while Finch scored 25 runs off 30 balls (5 fours) and his opening partner Marcus Harris was not out on 7 runs.

After the tea break, Finch didn’t return to bat as he was rushed to the hospital for X-ray. Usman Khawaja joined with Harris to restart their innings.
