The song de Villiers chose was “Suraj Ki Baahon Mein” from the Bollywood film “Zindagi Na Milegi Dobara” (2011), featuring stars like Hrithik Roshan, Katrina Kaif, Abhay Deol, and Farhan Akhtar. His spirited rendition of the catchy tune highlighted his genuine affection for Indian cinema and its musical offerings.

AB de Villiers’ deep appreciation for Indian culture is well-documented. Throughout his illustrious career with the Royal Challengers Bangalore (RCB) in the IPL, he not only dazzled fans with his exceptional batting prowess but also embraced the local language and traditions.

Even after retiring from all forms of cricket following the 2021 IPL season, his bond with India and its vibrant entertainment industry remains strong. Notably, de Villiers famously proposed to his then-girlfriend, now-wife Danielle Swart, at the iconic Taj Mahal in 2012, further cementing his connection with the country.
