Adidas has officially revealed Team India’s jersey for the upcoming ICC World Cup 2023, marking a historic event as India hosts the ODI World Cup on its own for the first time. In the past, India co-hosted the World Cup three times, in 1987, 1996, and 2011. The thirteenth edition of the ICC ODI World Cup is set to take place from October 5 to November 19, with matches scheduled across ten venues in India, including Ahmedabad, Kolkata, Mumbai, Chennai, Bengaluru, Pune, Hyderabad, Delhi, Dharamsala, and Lucknow.
Ten teams will compete in this edition, and India is vying for its third ODI World Cup title. India last clinched the World Cup in 2011 and reached the semifinals in the previous two editions under the captaincy of MS Dhoni and Virat Kohli. The upcoming tournament is highly anticipated, with India considered one of the favorites, led by captain Rohit Sharma.
With just over two weeks left before the ICC World Cup 2023 kicks off, Adidas, Team India’s official kit sponsor, unveiled the new jersey for the Men in Blue. In a video released on September 20 across their social media platforms, Adidas showcased the jersey’s design changes.
