Rajasthan Royals (RR) locked horns with Sunrisers Hyderabad (SRH) and they have set a huge target of 211 for the opposition to win the game. A remarkable incident occurred during the Hyderabad’s innings as Aiden Markram considered himself to be out but Nathan Coulter-Nile dropped him at mid-off.

IPL 2022 has produced some exciting action so far and the match between RR and SRH was no exception. Batting first, Rajasthan posted a total of 210/6 courtesy of a half-century from Sanju Samson. Samson scored 55 runs while Devdutt Padikkal also played a key role scoring 41 runs.

Chasing the target, SRH lost half of the team in quick succession. They were down to 37/5 at one stage and petty far away from the target. Yuzvendra Chahal was bowling the first delivery of the 13th over of the innings to Aiden Markram. Markram tried to play an attacking shot from the back-foot but ended up top-edging the ball. The South-African batter considered that he was dismissed but Nathan Coulter-Nile who was fielding at long-off overdid the slide and dropped the catch.

Earlier, Sunrisers Hyderabad won the toss and opted to field first in the match. RR openers batted brilliantly and they were able to reach the 58-run mark at the end of the powerplay. Also, Sanju Samson led the batting attack by example during the game against Sunrisers Hyderabad. The RR skipper scored runs at the rate of knots as he took the attack to the cleaners.

In the process, Sanju smashed sixes and fours at will. Samson who generally has a terrific record against Sunrisers Hyderabad continued his good run against the same franchise. Sanju Samson top-scored for Rajasthan Royals with a brilliant half-century. During his stay at the crease, he smashed a brilliant no-look six off Washington Sundar.

Samson chipped in with 55 off 27 balls with the help of 3 boundaries and 5 hits over the fence at a strike rate of 203.70. and it helped RR to past the 200-run mark in the ongoing season of the IPL. Eventually, Rajasthan Royals ended up scoring 210/6 in their allotted quota of 20 overs.
