Veteran Lucknow Super Giants (LSG) batter Aiden Markram opined on the success of their mystery bowler Digvesh Rathi in the ongoing Indian Premier League 2025 (IPL 2025). The 25-year-old made headlines with his marvellous performances in his debut season, being the second-highest wicket-taker for his team so far as well. Rathi once again impressed with his performance against KKR as he dismissed his idol Sunil Narine and registered figures of 1/33 in the high-scoring affair.

“Yeah, he’s different. Obviously he can take the ball both ways with a little bit of mystery about it as well. So that’s a big advantage for him, but like I said now, it all comes down to execution and he’s the one who’s holding really good lengths for us and, and enabling us to build a little bit of pressure,” said Markram in the post-match press conference.

“So I think that’s probably been his biggest strength is his control. Being able to go both ways is obviously a massive strength, but with a slightly smaller boundaries and the ball traveling, if you’re missing lengths, ultimately you’re gonna fetch. So that’s probably been his biggest weapon so far this IPL is he’s he’s been really good at holding a good length,” he further added.

Rathi was also seen celebrating in a new way against KKR after being handed two demerit points for his notebook celebration in the last two matches. He made a gesture of writing on the ground after dismissing Narine during the match. Courtesy of his good bowling, LSG were able to build the pressure on KKR and restricted them to 234/7 to win the match by four runs as well.
