Former India batter Ajinkya Rahane shared one quality that he admired in legendary Indian batter Virat Kohli amid the ongoing first Test against Sri Lanka. Rahane recently announced his retirement from international and all forms of cricket,
and he is now commentating in the ongoing Test series. He revealed how Virat Kohli had a different mindset and led by example as well. Rahane also shared that he never forced anyone but led from the front, which automatically led the team to follow him as well.

“He never asked anyone to do this or that. He did it by himself, be it fitness or diet. I remember a Test match in Adelaide where he hit hundreds in both innings when we were chasing 375 (364). The mindset with which he played, he performed and showed it. When a captain or player does it by himself, the team follows automatically. He never forced anyone to do anything, he did it by himself,” he said on Sony Sports Network.

However, after his retirement, Ajinkya Rahane also named his best batting partners across formats. In Test cricket, he picked his former teammate and captain Virat Kohli as well.

“In T20, my best partner, I feel I batted a lot with Dravid in RR, so he is one. When I was in CSK, Gaikwad and Conway. In ODI, Shikhar and Rohit, I had many partnerships with them. In Test, everyone knows about Virat and my match-winning partnerships and in different conditions,” Ajinkya Rahane said in a video on his YouTube channel.
