Ajinkya Rahane Smashes A Six On The Roof, Leaves Faf Clueless

Chennai Super Kings (CSK) batter, Ajinkya Rahane, who seems to be in a fiery form in IPL 2023, continues to shine. Rahane came out all guns blazing against Royal Challengers Bangalore (RCB) at the M Chinnaswamy Stadium in Bengaluru. In the 24th match of the tournament, RCB skipper, Faf du Plessis won the toss and invited CSK to bat first.

Ajinkya Rahane, who came to the crease after the early dismissal of Ruturaj Gaikwad, played well and smashed the RCB bowling attack. Playing his third match in this IPL, Rahane hit a long six of 91 meters off the ball of Vijay Kumar Vyshak. In fact, Rahane sent the third ball of the fifth over of the innings on an aerial journey and the ball returned to the ground after kissing the roof of the stadium.

RCB captain Faf du Plessis’ expressions also changed after seeing Rahane’s six. Ajinkya Rahane, batting in a fast manner, scored 37 runs in just 20 balls. During this stormy innings, Rahane scored 3 fours and 2 sky-high sixes while playing at an unmatched strike rate of 185. Rahane batted in explosive style and added 74 runs for the second wicket with Devon Conway.

The performance of the Chennai Super Kings has been excellent in the IPL 2023. CSK has won two of the four matches played so far, while the team has lost the same number of matches. However, in the last match against Rajasthan, Chennai had to face defeat by 3 runs on the last ball.
