With Assam batting first, Mumbai’s bowlers delivered a stellar performance, restricting their opponents to a meagre total.

Assam’s top order crumbled under Mumbai’s relentless bowling attack, with openers Parvej Musaraf and Rahul Hazarika departing for just two and three runs, respectively. S C Ghadigaonkar managed only four runs, while skipper Denish Das fell for a mere five runs. Abhishek Thakuri emerged as the top scorer for Assam, contributing 31 runs to the team’s total. However, Assam’s innings folded swiftly as they were bundled out for 84 runs.

Mumbai’s bowling duo of Shams Mulani and Mohit Avasthi shone, claiming two wickets each, while Tanush Kotian added one to the tally. Shivam Dube’s brilliant century further bolstered Mumbai’s commanding position in the match, as they aimed to extend their lead.
