Bizarre incidents have often been seen on a cricket field time and again ever since the inception of the game. The comedy of errors have left the netizens laugh their belly out over the years. Once such incident took place during the ongoing Al-Wakeel Cricket League. In the match between Audionic and AutoMall, the fielding team lost their nerves in the crunch moment of the match. 

Chasing a decent total of 155, the AutoMall needed five runs to win off the last ball with two wickets in hand. Raheel A.Maje was on strike with Adeel Abid Sham at the non-striker’s end.

Maje had already hit a four in the over and he was looking in a good touch. The pacer bowled a full-length ball and the batter tried to hit the ball down to the long-off region.

After the win, the AutoMall is now standing at sixth place on the points table with two wins and as many losses from four matches. Their net run rate of -0.34 is also not the best among the eight teams taking part in the T20 league. The Audionic have also won a couple of matches out of four they have played, but they have a better net run rate of 0.84.

Roomi Royals are currently the table-toppers with wins in all six of their matches. Their net run rate of 1.54 is the second best among the teams. Muslim Gymkhana and Down Town Strikers have notched three wins from five matches. Are Builders & Developers are yet to open their account in the tournament.
