The ongoing competition of The Hundred has managed to entertain the fans as per the expectation as the players are leaving no stone unturned in performing for their respective teams. At the same time, the tournament has also witnessed bizarre incidents that caught the attention of cricket fans around the world.
Earlier, a wicketkeeper by the name of Tom Moores garnered a lot of eyeballs for his positioning. When Rashid Khan was bowling, the wicketkeeper stood far away from the stumps. The bizarre wicketkeeping surprised the cricketing fraternity and it was the most talked-about incident on social media. Meanwhile, there was yet another incident that caught everyone’s attention.

The incident took place during the 22nd match of the tournament that took place between Oval Invincibles and Trent Rockets at Kennington Oval in London. Earlier, the rain played its part and thus spoiling some fun during the game. As the rain stopped, the match was reduced to 65-ball per side due to a wet outfield. Trent Rockets skipper Lewis Gregory won the toss and elected to bat first.
Trent Rockets managed to post as many as 116/8 in their quota of 65 balls. Lewis Gregory was the highest run-getter with a score of 28 off 12 balls including 4 fours and a six. Getting hit in the groin can be a painful experience. Trent Rockets’ batsman Alex Hales witnessed a terrible experience as he suffered a huge blow in the groin not once but twice.

Playing against left-arm pacer Reece Topley, Alex Hales got hit in the groin once and subsequently fell on the ground. He was in a tremendous amount of pain before the physio rushed to the field to help him out.

Soon after that, he got hit in the same area by the same pacer Topley, in what was a very rare occurrence. Alex Hales scored 25 off 15 balls including 3 fours and a six. Oval Invincibles lost the game by 9 runs despite Jason Roy’s 59 off 29 (4 fours, 4 sixes).
