Chennai Super Kings (CSK) batter Ambati Rayudu took to his social media handle and denied all the claims of him taking a dig at India legend Sunil Gavaskar over his comments after the clash against Rajasthan Royals. For the uninitiated, Gavaskar was critical of Rayudu for not fielding against Rajasthan and being unable to hit the ground running despite being used as an Impact Player.
The 37-year-old has featured in eight matches and collected a meager 83 runs thus far at an underwhelming average of 16.60. In addition to this, the CSK veteran batter garnered a lot of eyeballs as he shared a tweet over his dismal run in the ongoing season.

In his earlier tweet, Ambati Rayudu wrote: “In life and sport ups and downs are a constant part. We need to be positive and keeping working hard and things will turn around. Results are not always a measure of our effort. So always keeping smiling and enjoy the process”.
However, as per the latest developments, Rayudu has clarified that his tweet was not intended toward Gavaskar and rubbished claims of taking a dig at the India legend.
What nonsense… my tweet has nothing to do with the great mr Gavaskars comments.. his opinions are well respected and in regards to my fielding . A player doesn’t decide if he wants to field or not.
