Ambati Rayudu Ready To Don Wicket-keeping Gloves IN IPL 2022?

On Monday, the BCCI announced the final list of 590 players who will be going under the hammer in the mega auction of the Indian Premier League (IPL) 2022 scheduled to be taking place in Bengaluru on February 12 and 13. Interestingly, the veteran Indian batter, Ambati Rayudu has registered himself as a wicket-keeping option for the upcoming auction.

According to the players’ list published by the BCCI on the official website of IPL, Ambati Rayudu has registered himself as a wicket-keeping batter, with the base price of INR 2 crores. He was picked by the Chennai Super Kings (CSK) in the IPL 2018 auction for the price of INR 2.2 crore, while his base price was INR 50 lakhs. 

Amongst 590 registered players who have registered for the auction, 228 are capped players, 355 are uncapped players and 7 belong to Associate Nations.

The 10 IPL franchisees – Chennai Super Kings (CSK), Delhi Capitals (DC), Kolkata Knight Riders (KKR), Lucknow Super Giants (LSG), Mumbai Indians (MI), Punjab Kings (PBKS), Rajasthan Royals (RR), Royal Challengers Bangalore (RCB), Sunrisers Hyderabad (RCB) and Team Ahmedabad will be taking part in the mag-auction.

A total of 370 Indian players cricketers and 220 players from overseas countries will be up for grabs in what promises to be an action-packed IPL 2022 Player Auction in Bengaluru.

The IPL has always been acting as a platform where talent meets opportunity and some of the U19 cricketers like Yash Dhull, Vicky Ostwal, Rajvardhan Hangargekar will be going under the hammers. Apart from them, there some of the young prospects who will be expected to earn big money in the IPL like Devdutt Padikkal, Harshal Patel, Krunal Pandya, Shahrukh Khan, Deepak Hooda, Avesh Khan, etc.
