Chennai Super Kings (CSK) and Royal Challengers Bangalore (RCB) locked horns with each other in the 22nd match of the Indian Premier League (IPL) 2022. RCB skipper Faf du Plessis won the toss and opted to field. RCB made a couple of changes to their squad. CSK had a sluggish start as they were 37-2 after first 7 overs. But after that, Robin Uthappa and Shivam Dube added 165 runs for the third wicket to get CSK to a huge total.

Robin Uthappa played a match-winning knock of 88 runs off 50 balls. His innings consisted of 4 fours and 9 maximums. Shivam Dube played an unbeaten whirlwind knock of 95 runs. Eventually, CSK gave a daunting target of 217 runs to Bangalore at the DY Patil Stadium.

During the chase reply, RCB batters scored some quick runs but kept losing wickets at regular intervals. At the 15 over mark, the scoreboard read 140-6. CSK skipper Ravindra Jadeja came in to bowl the 16th over. On the fourth ball, RCB batter Akash Deep played an uppish shot towards the off-side. Ambati Rayudu, standing at short cover, made a full-length dive to his right side and plucked the ball flying in the air. It was almost an unbelievable catch even for a player of Jadeja’s standards.
