Delhi Capitals (DC) duo Ajinkya Rahane and Amit Mishra will be eyeing big feats in T20 cricket when they will be resuming their Indian Premier League (IPL) 2021 campaign against bottom-ranked Sunrisers Hyderabad(SRH) at the Dubai international Stadium on Wednesday.
Veteran leg-spinner Amit Mishra has teh chance of becoming the first player to play 100 matches for his team in the IPL. Mishra is just 5 wickets away from becoming the highest wicket-taker in the history of the IPL. DC spinner has taken 166 wickets till now and is placed 2nd only behind the legendary Sri Lanka fast bowler, Lasith Malinga who has taken 170 IPL wickets.
Wriddhiman Saha, the Sunrisers Hyderabad wicket-keeper batsman will complete 2000 runs in the IPL if he scores 13 more runs in the 33rd match of the IPL 2021. Meanwhile, DC middle-order batsman Ajinkya Rahane needs 59 runs to complete 4000 runs in the league.
Delhi Capitals (DC)
Senior batsman Shikhar Dhawan and his opening partner Prithvi Shaw have been the biggest reasons for the recent success of DC. In UAE, the duo will be aiming to give DC a fine start and help the team to reach teh playoffs comfortably. The team will look for another solid start from the middle-order players like Steve Smith, Ajinkya Rahane, and Marcus Stoinis. They will be bolstered with the comeback of Shreyas.
The team has a perfect balance of all-rounders as well and the presence of Axar Patel, R Ashwin, and Amit Mishra makes the spin attack lethal. The pace department also comprises star players like Kagiso Rabada, Anrich Nortje, Ishant Sharma, Avesh Khan, and Umesh Yadav amongst others.
Probable XI: Prithvi Shaw, Shikhar Dhawan, Steven Smith, Shreyas Iyer, Rishabh Pant, Marcus Stoinis, Axar Patel, R Ashwin, Kagiso Rabada, Anrich Nortje, Avesh Khan.
Sunrisers Hyderabad (SRH)
David Warner will be aiming to get his form back in the remaining games and prepare himself for the upcoming ICC T20 World Cup which will be held in the UAE. SRH team needs to perform better in terms of their Indian bench for that would put lesser pressure on the big names in the side.
Probable XI: David Warner, Wriddhiman Saha, Kane Williamson, Manish Pandey, Kedhar Jadhav, Vijay Shankar, Sherfane Rutherford, Rashid Khan, Bhuvneshwar Kumar, Sandeep Sharma, T Natarajan.
