Amit Mishra is one of those players who couldn’t fare well on the international cricketing circuit but whenever it comes to the Indian Premier League, he is termed as a legend. Mishra is among the leading wicket-takers in the league and has the most hattricks under his belt in the tournament.
His mastery with the spin was on display against Mumbai Indians during the 13th game of the IPL 2021. Delhi Capitals were facing the defending champions in Chennai and got off to a flyer, thanks to Rohit Sharma and Suryakumar Yadav’s stroke-filled batting. When MI were looking to take the game away from DC’s reach, Amit Mishra changed the course of the game in his single over.

The ninth over of MI’s innings saw Mishra dismissing dangerous-looking Rohit Sharma as well as Hardik Pandya in a span of three balls. He didn’t stop there and removed ever-reliable Kieron Pollard as well. Mishra completed his spell by dismissing Ishan Kishan, the only designated batsman left in their batting lineup.
Kishan got out to a special delivery by Mishra, who bowled a wide yorker, which the batsman squeezed back on his stumps. Kishan was batting on 23 and could have scored few vital runs at the death but couldn’t believe his luck when he saw the ball landing back on his stumps.
Fans were left in awe during this spell and expressed their emotions on Twitter.

Used the conditions very well, picking up the wickets in quick occasions & not allowing the new comers to settle.
