Hashim Amla and Quinton de Kock have undone Bangladesh with their magical batting display in the three-match ODI opener in Kimberley. Both batsmen notched up their respective centuries before taking SA home while keeping all ten wickets in the hand.

De Kock (168*) scored his career’ 13 ton, while Amla (110*) manages his 26th three-figure mark in One-Day International cricket. In the process, later overtook Indian skipper Virat Kohli to become fastest ever to reach 26 ODI centuries. Kohli took 166 innings, but Amla battered him by 12 fewer innings.

Meanwhile, the opening pair registered South Africa’s highest ever ODI stand for any wicket going past David Miller and JP Duminy’s 256* versus Zimbabwe in World Cup 2015. Also, this is the highest score to be chased without losing a single wicket.

Earlier, Bangladesh scored 278/7 after opting to bat first with the help of a fine ton from Mushfiqur Rahim. South Africa reached home with 43 balls to spare in their innings.
