After Sarfaraz received his maiden Test cap from Anil Kumble, Naushad Khan was visibly moved, shedding tears of joy on the field.
Anand Mahindra, known for his love of cricket, was touched by the emotional scene and took to social media to offer a special gift to Naushad Khan. He praised Naushad Khan’s qualities as an inspirational father and offered him a Thar SUV as a token of appreciation.

The heartwarming scene unfolded on the field as Sarfaraz Khan, debuting in the Test against England, received his cap from the legendary Anil Kumble. Overwhelmed with pride and joy, Naushad Khan couldn’t contain his emotions, kissing the cap and embracing his son. The touching video quickly circulated on social media, catching the attention of Anand Mahindra.
Known for his love for cricket, Mahindra has previously gifted Thar SUVs to several Indian cricketers, including Mohammed Siraj, Shardul Thakur, Shubman Gill, T. Natarajan, Navdeep Saini, and Washington Sundar, in recognition of their performances during the historic 2020/21 Border-Gavaskar Trophy. All these players made their Test debuts on that memorable tour.
