The 12th edition of Indian Premier League (IPL) started with a bang with nail-biting matches alongside controversies. Kings XI Punjab (KXIP) has been in news for his unimaginable dismissal of Joss Buttler during their game against Rajasthan Royals on last Monday. Ashwin had Mankaded the Buttler for 69 when he was smashing to all the bowlers. His dismissal somehow caused their defeat.

The controversial incident has divided the cricketing world into two sections. While one part thought that Ashwin did the right thing, the majority were against him and slammed him for doing this. Several former and present cricketers also shared their views on social media. But England player James Anderson has come up with an unnatural gesture.

In the recent video which has gone viral on social media, there it was seen that Anderson, England’s leading wicket-taker in Tests, was shredding Ashwin’s picture as a reaction to Ashwin’s Mankad controversy. Some people might have found it funny but others were not happy with the action.

However, England captain Joe Root has given a humble reply to this controversy. He said that the dismissal was within the rules and Buttler should accept this.

“It’s not something that I’d like to be involved in, I wasn’t too impressed personally,” Root said. “But it’s within the Laws of the game, as a lot of people have said, and one Jos has to take on the chin unfortunately.”
