The Indian Premier League (IPL) 2021 is going on in full swing and things are moving towards the business end of the tournament. While many teams are shining bright this time, many consistent teams have been failing to get going this season. One such franchise is Kolkata Knight Riders (KKR), which has failed to capitalize on most of their occasions so far. In fact, their star all-rounder Andre Russell has also been going through a rough patch.
In the same reference, Russell has come up with a cryptic Instagram story in which he can be seen demonstrating the agitation with his current form. The Caribbean star posted his picture with a bottle of Old Monk and wrote, “It’s ok to not be ‘ok.’’ His latest picture has been doing rounds on social media and fans can only assume that he is being distressed with his form and fortune in the current season.
Talking about KKR, they have only managed to win just a couple of matches out of their six games so far in the league and are sitting at the 5th slot in the points table. Talking about Russell, the skilled all-rounder has failed to get going with the bat as he has just 118 runs in his six games at a below-par average of 19.66.

Russell’s form seemed to be a matter of concern for the Knight Riders in the last season as well. However, he has made sure to add in a little with the ball.
Various cricketers have also been talking about the dipping form of Russell and his batting no. is just not justified. He should come up with the order rather than coming down. Even former cricketer and analyst Aakash Chopra stated that KKR is missing a trick with their superman.

Talking about the same, Chopra said, “KKR is not giving Russell his full batting. They are sending him for too few deliveries. KKR have a bazooka but they are not using it. The opposition team is scared that Russell will come and hit but he comes so late, how will he create an impact.”
