24-year-old English fast bowler Jofra Archer has hit out at the racial abuse he received on social media platforms. Archer has demanded the concerned authorities to deal with the issue. On Monday the English speedster shared an image of a message that he got on social media platform Instagram. Unable to understand the negativity, he asked people why would someone make such comments.
Jofra Archer hoped that no one else should undergo what he has gone through and also wishes no one has to deal with racial abuse on a regular basis. That said, Archer firmly believes that online racial abuse or abuse in any manner is an issue that should be addressed properly.
“I (have) given a lot of thought about reacting to this and I hope no one else has to deal with stuff like this on a regular basis, it isn’t ever acceptable and should be addressed properly in my opinion,” he wrote in one of his Instagram stories. “I will never understand how people feel so freely to say these things to another human being, it baffles me,” he added.
