Arjun Tendulkar is heading into IPL 2026 with a fresh opportunity after joining Lucknow Super Giants, and the left-arm pacer will be hoping this move finally gives him the regular chances he has long sought. His IPL journey began with Mumbai Indians, where he made his debut in 2023, but consistent game time never really followed.

Arjun was first picked by Mumbai in the 2021 auction, though an injury kept him out that season. He had to wait another year before making his debut, and when the chance came in 2023, he showed useful signs with the new ball, finishing that season with three wickets in four matches. His 2024 campaign, however, was limited to just one appearance, in which he went wicketless.
Speaking about the frustration of spending time on the bench, Arjun Tendulakar said, “Who doesn’t feel that? No one wants to sit on the bench.” He added, “But we want to work hard and perform when we get a chance.”

Now part of the LSG setup, Arjun will be aiming to make an early impression when Lucknow Super Giants open their campaign against Delhi Capitals at the Ekana Stadium. The venue is expected to offer a fair contest, though conditions can slow down as the match progresses.

Arjun Tendulkar also shared his views on the Impact Player rule, which has drawn criticism from several senior Indian cricketers. He said, “Pick 11 and play.” He added, “In international T20s, and in any other league, there is no Impact Player.”

In the same podcast conversation, Arjun was asked which cricketer he looked up to apart from his father. He named Yuvraj Singh and credited the former India all-rounder for helping refine his batting technique. “Yuvraj Singh,” he said. “I worked a bit with him on the back lift and also on my grip.”
With a new franchise, a fresh season and a clearer chance to build momentum, Arjun Tendulkar now has the platform to turn potential into a more defined IPL impact.
