Left-arm pacer Arjun Tendulkar is making sure he stays in the conversation at Lucknow Super Giants, even if an IPL 2026 debut has not come his way yet. A video of Arjun firing in pinpoint yorkers while captain Rishabh Pant batted in the nets has gone viral on social media, giving fans a glimpse of his skills and intent.

Signed by LSG from the Mumbai Indians at his base price in the IPL mini auction, the 26-year-old is still waiting for his first match this season. Arjun has played only five IPL matches so far, all for Mumbai Indians, and has picked up three wickets in the tournament.

While the numbers do not yet stand out, the net-session clip suggests he is continuing to work hard and push for a breakthrough. The son of batting great Sachin Tendulkar recently said he is not looking to prove anything to anyone and wants to stay focused on his own process.

“I play cricket for my passion, and not to prove anything to anyone. I just focus on the process of working hard and enjoying my game,” Arjun Tendulkar said on Shubhankar Mishra’s YouTube channel.

His chances of breaking into the LSG XI have also drawn discussion from former India spinner Ravichandran Ashwin, who felt the competition in the pace attack makes it difficult for Arjun to get a game. Ashwin pointed to the presence of Mayank Yadav, Mohsin Khan, Avesh Khan and Mohammed Shami as major hurdles in the selection race.

That remark, however, did not go down well with Yograj Singh, who once trained Arjun briefly. The former India cricketer strongly defended him and hit back at Ashwin’s comment.

“He is talking bulls**t, this guy, R Ashwin, whoever he is,” Yograj told InsideSport. With one win and one defeat, LSG currently sit seventh on the IPL 2026 points table.
