Team India is locking horns with New Zealand in the opening T20I of the three-match series at the JSCA stadium in Ranchi. The hosts failed to contain the visitors initially as the visitors managed to reach the score of 176/2 in their quota of 20 overs. Finn Allen batted briskly in the powerplant overs and Darryl Mitchell attacked in the final overs. For India, fast bowler Arshdeep Singh was very expensive in this match he spent 51 runs in his four overs and took only one wicket.

In the last over of New Zealand’s innings, Arshdeep Singh conceded three consecutive sixes and went for as many as 27 runs, helping the Kiwis reach a big score.

Arshdeep Singh’s performance has been pretty average in the last few T20 matches for India. In his very first match back in the T20I series against Sri Lanka, he bowled a lot of no balls and proved costly. Even today he gave away a lot of runs in the last over and the fans didn’t like it.
