Arshdeep Singh endured a mixed outing for Punjab Kings (PBKS) during their IPL 2026 clash against Gujarat Titans (GT) in New Chandigarh, as he bowled one of the longest overs in league history. The left-arm pacer delivered an 11-ball over — the joint-longest in IPL history — during the 20th over of the innings.

Struggling with control under pressure, Arshdeep Singh conceded four wides and a no-ball, with the over costing his side 12 runs. He eventually finished with figures of 0/42 from his four overs, failing to make a breakthrough despite showing glimpses of swing with the new ball.

Arshdeep now joins a list featuring names like Hardik Pandya, Shardul Thakur, Sandeep Sharma, Tushar Deshpande and Mohammed Siraj, all of whom have previously bowled 11-ball overs in the tournament.

Despite the late hiccup, Punjab Kings managed to keep Gujarat Titans to a competitive but below-par total of 162/6. Vyshak Vijaykumar led the bowling effort with an impressive 3/34, while Yuzvendra Chahal chipped in with two crucial wickets for 28 runs.

The Titans had a steady start, with Shubman Gill and Jos Buttler building momentum through the middle overs. However, the tide turned once Gill fell to Chahal, triggering a collapse. Vyshak struck key blows, removing Glenn Phillips, Washington Sundar and Shahrukh Khan in quick succession.

With momentum slipping and only limited contributions from the lower order, Gujarat Titans fell short of a strong finish. At the innings break, Punjab Kings would feel confident, knowing they have restricted the opposition to a chaseable total on a decent batting surface.
