India’s performance in the fourth T20I against South Africa at the Wanderers has been nothing short of spectacular. After posting an imposing total of 283 runs, they reduced South Africa to a dire 10-4 by the end of the third over, leaving the visitors in a state of shock. The carnage began in the very first over when Arshdeep Singh bowled a stunning delivery to dismiss Reeza Hendricks, setting the tone for the rest of the innings.
In the second over, Hardik Pandya struck, sending Ryan Rickelton back to the pavilion, further deepening South Africa’s woes. Arshdeep returned to the attack in the third over with even more venom, claiming Aiden Markram’s and Heinrich Klaasen’s wickets on consecutive deliveries.

The delivery to Klaasen was a peach, pitched on a good length on off, before nipping back sharply and trapping Klaasen in front of the stumps. The umpire’s finger went up immediately following a huge appeal, but Klaasen, hoping for a miracle, opted for the DRS.

The decision proved to be in India’s favor as the ball-tracking system showed three reds, and South Africa’s hopes were dashed. Earlier, the Indian batting display had set up this dominant position. Sanju Samson and Tilak Varma took center stage, with both batters scoring magnificent centuries.
