After the announcement of the 15-member squad for the three T20Is against Australia, Ashish Nehra’s name kept lingering on everyone’s lips. Given the fact that some other veterans like Yuvraj Singh, Suresh Raina, and Amit Mishra were sidelined from the team due to poor fitness standards, Nehra’s inclusion was surprising for Indian cricket fans.

However, despite returning to the international arena after 9 months, the veteran pacer is seriously thinking of calling off his prolonged career. According to a report in Mumbai Mirror, the Delhi lad will be seen hanging his boots during the upcoming series against New Zealand if not in the ongoing series against the Aussies.

And it can be easily guessed that why he has taken that decision as Nehra might be planning to get a fitting farewell at home in Delhi. The Men in Blue will be playing a T20I at Feroz Shah Kotla Stadium in Delhi on November 1 against New Zealand and it will be a great opportunity for Nehra for a ceremonial retirement where it all started.

Considering the report to be true, Nehra even decided to exclude himself from the opening T20I against Australia. However, he gets a game in the upcoming matches. His presence in the dugout still remains influential with his inputs and guidance to other young bowlers in the team.
