Gujarat Titans player Rashid Khan has said that head coach Ashish Nehra told him that he is in the side as an all-rounder and he would get his chances with the bat also. However, Ashish Nehra took over as the head coach of GT this season and his methods are impressive too. Rashid Khan is the latest to open up about working under the former Indian speedster.

Speaking to ANI, the veteran spinner said, “My experience with Gary Kirsten have been good. He helped me with my batting. Ashish (Ashish Nehra, the head coach) told me that I am with the side as an all-rounder and I will get chances to bat as well.”

Gujarat Titans are currently fourth in the points table and lost two close games against KKR and RR. Rashid said that the two matches they lost shouldn’t impact their upcoming games as well. Rashid Khan admitted that they did make some mistakes in the matches they lost and that they are looking forward to rectifying them as well.

“The matches have been great for us since we are among the top-three, top-four teams in the points table. In two matches, we could have won but failed to do so. But last year, we won the matches which were not in our hands. This is T20 cricket, you should be ready mentally for this. These two games should not affect our upcoming matches. We played good cricket in the matches we lost, but we made mistakes. We have learnt from it and we are looking forward to rectifying them in future,” concluded Rashid Khan.
