Baffled by the sale of firecrackers, Ashwin took to Twitter and asked “But I really do wonder where all these people bought their crackers from and of course ( when is the most important Q) !!” he tweeted.

The action of some of the Indian people irked former India opener, Gautam Gambhir as he took to twitter,” INDIA, STAY INSIDE! We are still in the middle of a fight. Not an occasion to burst crackers!”

From changing his Twitter username to asking fans to stay indoors, Ashwin has left no stone unturned in spreading awareness among the citizens during the testing times. Other Indian cricketers like Sachin Tendulkar, Suresh Raina among others have all donated towards the relief funds to help the needy.

The Indian Premier League (IPL) also got postponed and in all likelihood could be called off. Meanwhile, the number of coronavirus positive patients in India went past 4000 with 109 people losing their lives on Thursday, as per the Indian Council of Medical Research (ICMR).
