Ashwin Replies To His Chances Of Appearing On Koffee With Karan

Indian cricketers KL Rahul and Hardik Pandya found themselves in the controversy after their appearance on the TV chat show Koffee with Karan. The inappropriate comments made by Pandya brought a suspension to both players and they missed the Australia series as a result. The Board of Control for Cricket in India (BCCI) got even strict after this incident. Though, Indian spinner Ravichandran Ashwin is not bothered by any of this.

On Friday, veteran spinner Ashwin hosted a question and answer hour with his fans on Instagram. Several interesting questions were pop out during it. The one which caught the most attention was asking Ashwin whether he will like feature in Koffee with Karan or not? And Ash, unmoved by all the controversy occurred with Hardik and KL, noted in yes.

Several questions, pertaining to Ashwin’s on-field and off-field life were asked by fans during the session. He was also questioned over the prospects of winning back a place in India’s ODI and T20I teams, to which the 32-year-old said: “I am trying my best to get better every day, the rest is not in my hands.”

The ace spinner played his last international match during Australia tour. He was an integral part of India’s historic win in Adelaide Test but was ruled out from the remainder of the series after sustaining an injury. Ravindra Jadeja replaced him in the playing eleven. Meanwhile, Indian coach Ravi Shastri threw his weight behind Kuldeep Yadav as India’s number one spinner in away Tests.

Kuldeep has established himself as India’s leading spinner in all the formats. In the One-Day International format, he is doing extremely well for the team and has won several games with his wrist spin.

Ashwin has not featured in any white-ball international match after the Champions Trophy 2017 in England. Though, he and Jadeja played the West Indies tour that followed but back to back poor outings have shut his case in the limited-overs format.
