The Asia Cup 2018 has entered to the last stage as India and Bangladesh are going to meet in the final of the tournament on the Friday (September 28, 2018) at Dubai International Cricket Stadium (Dubai).

India is the six-time Asia Cup champions (five times in ODI format and one time in T20I format) while Bangladesh has their best Asia Cup record is finishing as runner-up for twice (once in ODI format and other once in T20I format). India, the only unbeaten team in this tournament, is clearly the favourite team in the final, but the desperate and passionate Bangladesh cricket team can beat now any team in their days, despite some of their important players are unavailable.

In the ongoing Asia Cup, India played great cricket matches. After a hard-fought and close victory against Hong Kong in their opening game of the tournament, India thrashed Pakistan twice and Bangladesh once. Though India had a tie result in their previous game against Afghanistan, five regular players were rested in that game. While the Indian top-order batting and most of the bowlers are in the good forms, their middle-order batting not seems very confident yet.

On the other hand, the injury-hit Bangladesh squad are still desperate to make the final historic for them and win the tournament. First Tamim Iqbal and now Shakib Al Hasan, both the most important players of the team have been ruled out due to injuries. Despite that, Bangladesh managed to beat Pakistan in their last game in the Super Four stage that was treated as the virtual semi-final as the winner of the game has to qualify to the final.

Bangladesh has some problems in all the departments that have been raised after the big players’ injuries. But their main headache is the top-order batting as the top-order batsmen are continuously failing to provide a good start.
