During the third Test of Pakistan’s tour of India in 2005 at Bengaluru, Shahid Afridi bowled a match-changing spell which saw three premier Indian batsmen in VVS Laxman, Sourav Ganguly and Sachin Tendulkar getting out to the Pakistani leg-spinner.

In what was the final test of the series, India required 383 runs to seal the series. On the other hand, Pakistan required 10 wickets to draw level the series 1-1. At 3-118 in the 43rd over, Laxman came out to join Tendulkar.

In the 52nd over, he got deceived by an Afridi delivery that hit him on his pads right in front of the stumps. In came Ganguly, who was cleaned up by Afridi in the 56th over. The next man on Afridi’s list them was Tendulkar in the 71st over. India eventually got bundled out on 214 in 90 overs. With bowling figures of 17-7-13-3, Afridi was the pick of the Pakistani bowlers.
